How Kombo connects your ATS with your partner

Kombo is a tool used by your partner, and has implemented a connection process across leading ATS. The one-time connection procedure takes an average of 10 minutes to complete — after setup, your HR data will be periodically shared with your partner.

Select the scope of data shared
In this step, you choose what data to share with your partner. Your partner defines the available data scopes based on their functionality requirements, and you can opt out of non-essential scopes.
Only the data points selected in this step will be made available to your partner.
Connect your ATS
Kombo dynamically defines which API permissions to request based on the scope that you selected in the previous step. These restrict what data can be accessed from your ATS.

Why your partner may request read access to your ATS

While not required by all services, granting read access to your ATS may be requested by your partner in the following scenarios:

They look at how far candidates progress (like reaching final interviews or getting offers) to understand which advertising channels bring in the best candidates.

Why should I connect my ATS to another service?

Connecting your ATS with your partner’s service enables them to provide functionality to you based on real-time data updates, such as real-time application screening, or providing insights on the hiring process for a candidate.

Such functionality is not possible with manual data transfers, as having always-up-to-date data is paramount to the value which the service is providing.

Why do companies rely on Kombo to power their services?

Who has access to my data?

Data is strictly shared between you and the partner who prompted you to connect via Kombo. The initial connection is authenticated between your ATS and Kombo in the above-explained connection flow. After the connection is set up, the only one able to access your data is your partner, using authenticated requests to Kombo.

What happens to my data if we terminate the connection?

If you choose to terminate your API connection, Kombo will not receive any further data updates. Kombo is not in control of how data is stored by your partner, but your partner will cease to receive any updated data once the connection has been terminated.
