The Context

JobGet is a social job network for the everyday workforce. Their product enables employers and job-seekers to connect on their mobile-first platform.

As the platform operates as a marketplace, JobGet’s goal was to improve customer journey and satisfaction two-fold:

  • On the candidate side: one of their main goals is to ensure that users can apply for jobs effortlessly without having to leave the JobGet app. This requires a robust system to integrate with various Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and streamline the transfer of job data and candidate applications.
  • On the employer side: they wanted to ensure a seamless onboarding process that includes getting access to all jobs directly from the customer’s ATS, keeping them updated, and delivering industry-leading downstream results via easy apply.

The Challenge

When Billy and Peter from the founding team of JobGet got in touch with us, they explained three distinct needs for integrating with their clients’ ATSs.

  • Get Jobs from the employer ATS to the JobGet platform: JobGet needed a solution to extract job listings from multiple ATS platforms via XML feed or API, ensuring they could access and display all available jobs. This process also had to consider attribution and conversion data for accurate tracking.
Our biggest challenge with integrations was obtaining job feeds from our clients. Whether through XML or API access, this often requires direct collaboration with their ATS. We had to then manage attribution and data tracking, which can complicate the process. Streamlining this was crucial, as any friction during pre-onboarding risks the deal falling apart.

  • Expand Organic Job Listings: JobGet aimed to increase the number of organic job listings from the general job feed of various ATS platforms, enhancing their platform’s job diversity and reach.
  • Implement Easy-Apply Integration: To facilitate a smooth application process, JobGet required an easy-apply functionality that would allow users to submit applications directly from the app and improve conversion rates.

The Decision And Outcome

Our partnership with JobGet enabled them to improve that two-fold user journey. By integrating directly with their customers' ATS platforms, JobGet can now:

  • Seamlessly retrieve job ads: JobGet could now get job listings from ATS platforms efficiently, ensuring their job board was always up-to-date with the latest opportunities.
  • Streamline the application process: The integration allowed JobGet to maintain attribution and conversion data, offering insights into the job application process and enabling effective performance tracking.

On the candidate side, the easy-apply feature was a pivotal aspect of JobGet’s user experience. Kombo’s integration allows candidates to:

  • Apply directly from the app: users can submit job applications without being redirected, creating a frictionless experience.
  • Track application outcomes: candidates can now retrieve the status of their application from the employer's ATS in the JobGet app.

The team at JobGet has collaborated closely with our product, solutions engineering, and technical support teams to get them up and running with their integrations.

The support we’ve gotten from the Kombo team from integration to go live and beyond has been excellent. We feel that the Kombo team is an extension of our internal integrations team.
